I’m slightly broke and packing up my entire line to move across the country in a month. The last thing I need to be looking at is fabric, embroidery tricks and new sewing machines.

enferdame I didn’t realize you got second place! Congrats!
Oui, second place is me!
Marvel Cinematic Universe 2014-2018:
Guardians of the Galaxy
Avengers: Age of Ultron
Thor III: Ragnarok
Captain America III: Reborn
The Invincible Iron Man (Iron Man IV)
It’s more like Chekov’s Griffon. If you’re going to mention a griffon in the first act, you have to have one in the the third act. Otherwise… bad storytelling.
Shroedinger Chekov the Best Griffon Ever
When you want to get a over a wall.
Suddenly you hear a road of “I CAN DO ZAT!”
And he pounces in all fabulous and throws you on his back and flies over the wall.
"This wall is Russian!"
"This wall may or may not exist but it is definitely Russian and I can DEFINITELY DO ZAT"
I love this Griffon so much. Even more so that because I misspelled Chekhov in the first place, we now have Schroedinger Chekov, the overenthusiastic baby philosopher Griffon. Which is actually far more entertaining because the Schroedinger Chekhov Griffon would end up being more like “Orlais may or may not exist, but I long for the day when I can return to Orlais” while sitting around moping .
lyrangalia said: Wait who’s doing a production of King Lear in town right now??? (My priorities, let me show you them)
Seattle Shakespeare Company! They’re performing at the Cornish (formerly the Intiman) Playhouse. I’ve got like four half price tickets, and there should be a pay-what-you-can performance on…. Oh! It’s Wednesday night.
I had to post this here because I have no where else to post this (this is more of a Twitter post, but the theaters know who I am on Twitter). I just had the distinct pleasure of watching an actor rub his bloody hands all over another actor in a white dress. Granted, it’s on purpose, but I have to launder that.
I’d join in the naming fun, but I’m on mobile all day, and I can’t figure out how to change it today, so I thought I’d switch my avatar to celebrate the return of Orphan Black!
Just for you Enferdame, this is her kickass steampunk Hawkgirl cosplay.
Oh my gosh! Thank you for posting these! I’ve been having such a hard time finding pictures of the wings all the way open! And I was so glad I got to see you in the audience beforehand, it really meant a lot!
Was anyone else a little bit disappointed that the kick ass Lady Counsel Member turned out to be Natasha? Still love Natasha, but for a few glorious seconds, it was awesome to see an older woman come out of nowhere to kick ass
Some non-me related photos from ECCC. If you know who these amazing cosplayers are, and they have Tumblr, please, let me know so I can tag them! :)
From the top:
- Two amazing Lobos
- Steampunk Hawkgirl
- Batgirl and Scarecrow
- Charles Xavier and Max Eisenhardt (Professor X and Magneto)
- Skeksis and Kira from Dark Crystal
That’s me as Charles and my tumblr-less SO as Erik! Thanks for posting! :D
And there’s enferdame's gorgeous steampunk Hawkgirl!
Yay! Thanks! This may be one of my favorite pictures of me I’ve seen :)
Oooo a Queen Merida… that could be interesting… I want to do a Poison Ivy someday too, I just have to figure out what route I want to take with her. You know, an acting teacher once told me that I was “grand”. I’m still not sure whether or not he meant it as a good thing or a bad thing.
And I’m determined to do Catelyn Stark! Speaking of, when are we all going to the Game of Thrones exhibit at the EMP. I’ve lost my nights and weekends again for the most part, but since I’m working in the Center, I could come by on my break in between shows, or before my call time.
Bellatrix is totally cheating. But I understand because I have a hard time not just cosplaying her all the time. And I hadn’t thought about dressing up as Velma Kelly in AGES. (Stef, were you around when some of us did the Cell Block Tango for Drama Club? Or was that before your time? I was totally Velma Kelly).
